One of the best things about owning my own business is the ability stay home with my children. I used to work a standard “nine to five,” but more often than not it ended up being more like “eight to seven.” When I was younger and didn’t have children, it was no big deal. I loved my job, I loved my coworkers; I even loved our company happy hours and was happy to be away from home for over twelve hours a day. Then I had kids and everything changed. I realized I wanted to make them my priority, and for me that meant quitting my job and staying home with them. I’m so fortunate to work in an industry that afforded the opportunity to start my own company, and I love working from home. The only downside is that since I’m still in the early years, money isn’t as free-flowing as it once was. I make less and our expenses have gone through the roof. I was so happy when a friend told me about shop for energy. I was able to call them, switch our energy provider, and start saving money immediately. It helps relieve some of the stress of being a full time working mother; trust me, there is enough stress as it is.
