My Turbo Broiler


We were at the Korean Store last Saturday doing our regular fish and seafood marketing when I saw this Convection Oven. They have several demos and food tasting ongoing and when hubby saw me staring at this one, he smiled and said; “di ba yan ang hinahanap mo mommy?” I just nod my head and without second thoughts I asked hubby to pick up one.

Yes, this is the turbo broiler I have known from the Philippines. I never see this at any regular home store here; only in Asian stores but too expensive. This one is only $39.99, regular is$49.99. I remember we have one back home (many many years ago) made by Imarflex but not the glass one. I will never forget how good it cooks pork belly and pork chops (huh! Those were the days!!!).

We haven’t tried it yet but I have a whole chicken seasoned in the refrigerator since last night. Maybe we can have it tonight. What I really like is how the fat just drips at the bottom of the pan separating from the food you are cooking.

Btw, before we finally left the store, hubby asked, “Are you going to get pork belly?” I said, “Nope.” He said, “Good job mom!”
