Yummy polvoron

This is what I am munching right now. My favorite polvoron specifically cashew from Goldilocks. It was a pasalubong from Philippines. Thanks. Wish we have Goldilocks here pero Red Ribbon lang. Sometimes I see some at the Filipino store but it does not look good anymore. It's almost lunchtime but i guess this will be more than enough for lunch. I am not sharing it, 'ala namang pinoy at my job. They don't what I'm eating. I'm not in the mood to explain (bad!). No,not today. TGIF.Enjoy!

Get rid of termites

In the apartment where i live, the landlord always give me notice when the exterminator will come to treat the termite in the building. The building was built 1905 so they really have to do the treatment regularly. Termites love to stay in very old structures that is why sometimes few days before the guys come they put a termite bait in different areas of the house to make sure it is properly treated. I have no complaints and I have not seen any termite since I moved in.

Late movie

We just got home from watching Indiana Jones. It was around 11:15 pm when the movie ended. Outside the cinema, there are still a lot of people in line like waiting for the next movie to start. The nosey me wants to know why...i know the last show is around 12ish am but not this too many people lining outside. Why? It's Sex and the City, first day showing and by 12midnight they will start the first show. Ow? I was out of circulation all of a sudden. Well, See you next time SATC. Good night!

It is almost 5:30 and I am still here at the office. I was able to grab some opps and I did not realize 5 o'clock. As what they always say, time flies when you are having fun. The loves of my life are not (yet) home anyway, papa got invited to play tennis and my daughter is at the park playing with my friends kids. I'm almost finished. Catch you guys later. Long lunch

I just came from a long lunch with papa and ishi. They are both home while me working so they came by and invited me to lunch. We ate at Applebees. madonna's new baby

A judge in Lilongwe, Malawi has just approved Madonna’s adoption of a Malawian boy whom she met in an orphanage in Malawi last 2006. Lilongwe, Malawi is in Africa. The court ruled that they found Madonna and her British filmmaker husband Guy Ritchie are the perfect parents for David Banda who is turning 3 in November. David has been staying with Madonna’s family in London. David’s mother died when he was only one month old and his father is a farmer. He is in the orphanage because his father believes that he cannot take care of him alone and he was happy about the adoption. Madonna and Guy Ritchie have 3 kids now, Lourdes who is 11, Roco, 7 and David, 2.

A weekend of shopping

wowowee host axed

Lara Quigaman, the 2005 Miss International and now a former host of wowowee was on The Buzz last weekend where she talked about how she got axed from the noon time show wowowee. As far as she knows, it is all because she brought along her boyfriend (particularly) and her mother to Hawaii. Her mother lives in Canada but as a Mother’s Day gift she gave her a trip to Hawaii so that they can be together. Wowowee had a show there last May 10th. Willie Revillame got mad to her because she violated the rule “no bringing of boyfriend”. She defended herself by saying that the rule was unclear to her and she was told in a jokingly way. Lara said, although she tag them along, she was professional during the whole show, never late. Her bf and mom did not even watch the show and the staff only saw them at the airport on their way back to manila. She said she really got hurt for their reasoning of pulling her out of the show and the accusations of her being unprofessional are all untrue. If ever she will be asked to go back, she thinks she can’t work there anymore. So, that’s her side of the story. We have to hear what’s the other side of the story.

Our halloween costumes

As early as now, me and co-worker are already thinking about Halloween. Here at work, it has been a tradition that everybody will come to work in their halloween costumes every October 31st which is a Friday this year. We are looking at some Leg Avenue Costumes and we picked the sexy policewoman for her and the navy officer for me. We are not telling anybody so that it will be a surprise. Last year, we won in the contest and we got gift certificates and broadway tickets as prizes.

Lost parrot told vet his address

A parrot belonging to Nakamura family in Japan flew out of his cage and got lost. A policeman rescued the lost parrot from a neighbor's roof and brought the bird to the station. The next day the parrot was trasferred to a veterinary hospital while the police continue to search for clues. After a few days with the veterinarian, the parrot told the vet that he is "mr. yosuke nakamura", not only that, he also said his exact home address. True enough, they traced that address and certain nakamura lives there. The family said that they have been teaching the parrot for 2 years its name and address. So a happy ending for the Nakamura family.

Thanks for the new technology

Every year, our inventory is done the week after christmas. In our company we have at least 2000 lines of products and a week of inventory sometimes is not enough to count all the parts and equipment. Last year, we have been successful in our barcoding and use of handheld computers. We also changed all our counter monitors to an E363628 intellitouch monitor so during our last inventory it was easier for the warehouse people to enter their counts because the monitor is 17" wide, a lot wider than what we have been using and it is a touchscreen. My boss was very happy since we did not go beyond one week with few recounts and we were able to open our warehouse to customers early.

Truckload of Oreo Cookies stopped Traffic

What will you do if you see a highway full of oreo cookies? This happened in Illinois wherein a trailer with 14 tons of oreo cookies overturned on the highway and spilled the cookies still in their plastic sleeves into the median and roadway. The force of the crash caused the trailer truck to open spilling the cookies on Interstate 80 near Morris, Ill. last Monday around 4 a.m. He is travelling from Chicago. The police has to close several lanes while the cookies are being removed. It was reported that the drive fell asleep on the wheel and slammed his truck on the median. As of Monday, it is still under investigation and no charges have been filed. The driver is ok. He suffered no injuries.

monday off

Papa, me and ishi had a nice bonding time yesterday. We woke up on a cloudy and windy monday. It was cold so we had our jackets. It is so weird because it is almost memorial day but yet we still have 50's weather. Oh well, fine with me, we don't have the ac on yet. Too much gas prices already so we save money on our electric bills.

So where did we go? First we went to return papa's tennis racket which he got as a demo from one of the tennis store here. Went to another tennis shop, bought some shirts. Had late breakfast at Ihop which my daughter reads it as HIPO. We decided that I will return the sunglasses I bought from Century 21 so we have to stop by my job because i left my receipt there. After we returned it, we went to Garden State mall and we bought 2 sunglasses for me and papa at the Oakley store. I will take a picture next time. We spent like 3 hours on that mall. Around 4pm, went home, took a nap and dinner. After dinner, me and papa watched Iron Man. Ishi at first attempted to cry before we left but I took out all her nursery rhyme books and she was alright. She was still awake when we came home around 11pm. I'll post about the movie soon (kahit late).

My husband's brother recently bought a BMW. He has been crazy about BMW's and now that he has one, he wants to add more accessories to it. Jeniffer Lopez will soon have a reality series on TLC. Jlo has partnered with the husband and wife team of Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos in an unscripted series about her life with husband Mark Anthony. It will show her new life as a mom to twins Max and Emme, a wife to husband singer Mark Anthony, and a business woman as she launches in the show a new fragrance. Jlo is the co-creator and co-executive producer of the show. I'm sure this will be a big hit again from Jlo as she share to us her life that we never see on tv.

my favorite cable store

I have two sony digital cameras and my brother who is in the Philippines wants the other one. Problem with this camera is that I bought it from a store as an open box with no accessories and manual. Justine Henin ends tennis career

Justine Henin, a Belgian, announced Wednesday that she is retiring from tennis effective immediately. She holds the no. 1 title in women’s tennis, with maria sharopova, 2nd and anna ivanovic on the third place. Her first WTA Tour was in 1999 and has won the French Open 4 times, the US Open twice and the Australian Open once. She was in the 2004 Olympics where earned a gold medal in women’s singles. She is very young and quitting at 25. Why? She said she just feels fatigued. To me, she has the most impressive backhand for a woman as petite as her. Thanks for the good games and unbelievable matches I’ve seen. You are retiring as a Champion. Good Luck on your next endeavor.

Our Atlanta Trip

I used to live in California before I move to New Jersey . When I had my baby, one of my relatives from California also moved to Atlanta so they thought why don’t we just have my baby's christening in Atlanta. We accepted the invitation and it was held at my aunt’s new house in Georgia. It was a reunion for everybody. Before the christening, we decided to check out the things to do in Atlanta. We took advantage of the chance that since we are already there, we better check out the place being our first time to visit. So after the christening, we spent another 2 days at my aunt’s house. She offered to babysit my baby. On our first day, we had several sightseeing tours of the city. We visited the Georgia Aquarium and World of Coca-cola. On our second day, we spend the whole day at Stone Mountain Park. Everybody was amazed with the lasershow.Now that its summer, time to get away again. Give yourself a break. A new Sharon Cuneta movie is opening on philippine theaters this coming may 28. The title is CareGiver, a movie about the lives of filipino caregivers working in London. Sharon went to London for several weeks, learn how to do their jobs, interview filipinos working there so that she could give justice to the role. Part of the movie was shot in London . our summer visitor and his skateboards

My godson who is 10 years old is spending his summer vacation with us. He is flying from California and we will be picking him up at the airport on June 25. He is asking me if he could bring his skateboards with him on the plane. I told him no because I will just buy him online. arkansas family with 17 children & mom pregnant

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar live in Tontitown, Arkansas in a 7,000 square foot home. They have 17 children, 10 boys and 7 girls including two sets of twins. Michelle, 41 is on her 6th week of pregnancy for their 18th child and she is due this January. The pregnancy is going well and they have no plans of stopping. They leave everything up to god. The oldest child is 20 years old and the youngest is 9 months old. All their names start with J – Joshua, Jana, John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jeremiah, Jedidiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah and Jennifer. This family has been featured in the discovery health channel.
