PPP approved my blog

When I started blogging, I was just doing it as a journal, to keep a record of important events in my life. As I go along, I also read blogs and found out that there is more in blogging. You make friends, learn, exchange ideas and thoughts, and EARN. A fellow blogger who’s site I frequently visit introduced blog marketingto me. She always brag to me the money she earns by blogging. So I got curious and ask myself, if she can do it, why can’t I?

I keep my blog updated and interesting so that bloggers would come and visit and one day get approved for paid blogging. Last Sunday, I applied at PPP and I did not expect to get an approval this early. I was so happy when I got an email this morning that my blog has been approved. I have heard a lot about the opportunities available at blog marketing that is why i was really hoping that my application will be approved. Signing with PPP is so easy as long as you have a blog at least three months old. Just go to their website and fill up the forms and wait for your approval via email. Once approved, you will blog about products of different advertisers.

My approval will be my chance to earn extra money espcially now that I am saving for our trip to the Philippines this coming Christmas. I would be able to buy gifts for my family and friends,have money to spend for a small get together back home to celebrate christmas. It’s not only that, with the soaring gas prices every day, it really helps to have another source of income to be able beat the price increase.

pregnant teller loses twins in a holdup

This is a horrible story I just read on the paper. The Huntington Bank branch in Indianapolis got held up and a 5 month pregnant teller got shot in the abdomen during the robbery. She was pregnant with twins, one was born dead and the other died after birth. The mom survived, still in critical but stable condition.

I was a teller in one of the bank here before and every day that I go to work I always pray that nothing like this will happen. Tellers are frontliners and we deal with big amounts of money everyday to our customers and strangers. And you know sometimes, people gets crazy and will just do anything for money and they don’t care if they hurt anybody or not. Just like what happened to this lady. We get training how to handle situations like robbery but there is not enough training you can do to avoid this. For me it is a risky job.

I am thankful that I’m on another field right now. Hope they catch all the robbers on this case.

update on buried red sox shirt post

the bidding for the buried red sox shirt ended yesterday on ebay and it was sold for $175,100.00!!! The winning bidder is Kevin Meehan, owner of imperialcars.com from mendon, mass. He has the highest bid among 282 bidders. whew!

what happened to our rice?

When we went to Costco last Sunday we were not able to buy our favorite rice Lucky Brand jasmine rice. The shelf was empty but there were some varieties still available. We thought that maybe because it is a weekend and almost everybody is doing their food shopping, they ran out or were not able to refill the shelves. It happened once before but when we went back they brought the stocks from the uppers shelves to the floor. So, no big deal, we will go back next weekend we said.

Last night in the news, they were talking about rice rationing in some stores in the U.S. What? Two warehouse clubs, sams and Costco announced to limit rice purchases by customers due to what they call “recent supply and demand trends.” Sams club limits your purchase to 4 bags at a time of imported jasmine, basmati and long grain rice. They could not comment if this is due to shortage of rice or customers are just stocking up in anticipation of higher prices. Costco has put signs in some of their stores as to how many a customer is allowed to purchase.

Now I told papa, we should not be picky with rice. We love jasmine rice but for now, whatever is on the shelf we should buy it before we start eating french fries and mashed potatoes for lunch and dinner.

I just called Costco before I posted this, still they don’t have jasmine rice and they do not know when they are going to have it!!!

After charice pempengco’s successful guesting at the ellen’s show, she got invited to be at Oprah’s show. They already shoot her guesting and it will be aired this coming May. Charice is so estatic meeting her and you could see that she is still a little girl when she commented about oprah giving her some dollars. She is like, “She just put it in my front pocket and I did not even take a look at it.”

Releasing next month is her first album with Star Records featuring her sons, “And I am Telling You,” “I will always love you,” and “I have nothing.” Charice can even promote her album at oprah’s show next time she is in chicaco. Well, keep up the good work and more international guestings, shows and appearances for you.

Buried red sox shirt at yankee stadium

this is #34 david ortiz jerseyof the boston red sox which was buried by a die hard red sox fan at the new stadium being built for the yankees across the yankee stadium at the bronx, ny. He wants to curse the new york yankees by burying a boston red sox shirt on the new stadium that will open next year. This was foiled when yankees learned about it, drilled the shirt out under 2 feet of concrete. The drilling took 5 hours.

Yankees and Red Sox are long time rivals but because of this jersey they joined for a good cause. The shirt was sent to the Jimmy Fund, a charity affiliated with Boston's Dana Farber Cancer Institute. It is being auctioned now on ebay, under item no. 120248650648. You have 2 days left to bid. The popemobile

This is Pope Benedict XVI’s ride while he was in the U.S. for 6 days. It was shipped to Maryland where he made his first stop two weeks before his arrival. The vehicle came from Rome. It is a Mercedez ML 430 with a 6 foot tall glass enclosure at the back where the pope can comfortably sit and wave to people. It has a specialized license plate bearing the this “SCV 1”, meaning the Vatican name in Italian and the pope’s place in the church hierarchy. It has bars for him to hold on to while standing with a double pane bullet proof glass windows. Popemobile is only a term used to describe the vehicle but there is no official name for the pope’s vehicle. The popemobile in the U.S. is the one on the right side of the picture. The other one is the popemobile in Brazil.

What time do you usually wake up?
6:00 a.m. if i have work, otherwise 8:00 a.m.

What’s the first thing you do?
wash my face and brush my teeth.

Breakfast?

Either toasts, donut or bagel and hot chocolate or tea.


Do you go to work/school?
yes, i go to work.


Do you like it?
I like my job, it's easy and no pressure and not strict with time.


If you stay at home, what do you do all day?
i will be with my daughter playing, coloring, reading or she just being makulit to everything i do, blogging and ebay.

When’s lunch and what you eatin’?

at work, arounf 1:30..... if i don't have food from home, i have mcdonalds or chinese food or food from the pizza place...dami kasing kainan close to where i work.


What time do you get home from work/school?
around 5 or 6pm, but if we play tennis i'm home before 5pm.



What do you do?
cook or just eat when my husband cooks.

around 7-7:30. at home, filipino food

wednesday off

I took a day off Wednesday last week just because. It was mommy and issa day.

We woke up late, she asked for macaroni and cheese for breakfast. Fine. I had my hot chocolate and toast.


What did we do the whole day?

1. went to the municipal hall to get a permit so that we can use the tennis court at the town park.

2. went to the bank.

3. went to the mall, bought her summer clothes.

4. stop at mcdonalds to get some food, went home first and eat. Rest.

5. at 2 pm, went to my OBGYN for my annual.

6. went to sears.

At 4 p.m., papa called he is already home from work but he is asking permission if he could play tennis with his friends. Ok. It’s a nice day anyway.

We go home around 5ish, Isabella so tired, falling asleep already in the car, sucking her thumb again. We both took a nap, woke up when papa called that he is on his way home.

I was driving to work this morning when i heard over the radio that a black and white sex tape of marilyn monroe performing oral sex to an unidentified man was sold to a new york businessman for $1.5 million. The 15 minute movie appears to have been shot in the 50's.

The businessman who bought the tape said that he is not going to resell it, but just keep it, out of respect to Marilyn Monroe.

Pope Benedict XVI is here

Pope Benedict XVI will be here for a 6 day visit from april 15 to 20. He is arriving today with the President welcoming him at Andrews Air Force Base. He is visiting Washington DC and New York. Pope Benedict XVI will be here in New York starting Friday April 18th.

If you want to have a glimpse of the pope, he will do a motorcade on his popemobile along 5th avenue and at St. Patricks Cathedral on Saturday. Also, he will be giving 2 masses at the Yankee Stadium and will make a stopover at ground zero for prayers. He departs on Sunday evening.

food shopping

We always do our food shopping every Sunday but the supermarket we go to gets crowded and you can hardly move your shopping carts along the aisles. One day, I got an email that their online shopping is now available and with just a minimum purchase of $15.00 they will deliver your groceries at home for free. Who can beat this offer, right?

So we tried to do that last weekend. The shopping cart software that the supermarket is using makes your online shopping so easy. They even have featured products and the image displays are very clear. The products are also grouped in different categories just like how they are grouped in the supermarket. I am not wondering why a lot of online stores use this ecommerce software. What was cool also is that they accepted out gift certificate online. My husband is so happy because he hates going to supermarkets.

So, our Sundays is all free time now. After church, we could just hang out, watch movies or play tennis and not worry about going to the supermarket anymore.

gabby concepcion, the father

Everybody knows that gabby concepcion was "busy" during his regal baby days. His comeback to Philippines gave reasons for reporters to unfold his life to the public again.

I saw on tfc an interview of one of gabby’s daughter by grace ibuna. Her name is Gabrielle “garie” concepcion, 19 years old and presently a student in lasalle. She has similarities with her father especially the jaw line.

Of course, we all know about KC, his first daughter to his first wife Sharon, who has remarried to Kiko Pangilinan. KC is 22 years old, a very articulate and smart young lady, making her own way to stardom in the Philippines. She has the good looks of his father too.

Gabby also got married to Jenny Syquia, a former actress in the Philippines and fathered to their daughter named cloie. Cloie is probably 13 or 14 years old and jenny is now based in Europe and has also remarried.

The latest princess to gabby’s life is Samantha, 2 months old with his present wife Genevieve “ginbee” Yatco who is based in SF, CA.

I have an online store for a couple of years now. It is just a hobby but I am thinking of expanding it. I would like to use e-commerce software to improve my online store. This shopping cart software is so easy to set up and you don’t have to be skilled to be able to make it running. Hey fellow bloggers, guess why I am so happy today? I just opened my mail, saw this ....“ your blog has been approved”. Yehey, happy, happy, joy, joy. Now is the time for me to get paid to blog.

i am not a plastic bag

since the campaign to go green, eco-friendly, not to use plastic bags, Anya Hindmarch's bag "I'm NOT a Plastic bag" was a hit last summer. Whole Foods Market, one of the leading supermarkets here, a seller of natural and organic foods was selling this canvas bag for $15 but it went fast with people standing in line outside of the stores in the rain just to purchase this bag. It became a big hit that it became a fashion for many.

I was one of the many (but i was not one of those who lined for 3 hours outside the stores). I went to whole foods here in jersey to try luck my but nada, tried online, none! A did not give up..went to ebay...bid...pray, pray and pray that i will outbid other bidders...and yes, the item was sold to A for $50!!(with shipping na 'yan).

i'm going to use it again this summer, it's so roomy and weightless. i am always asked by people, "where did you get that bag?"...

jay z and beyonce got married?

Speculation started when people saw flower arrangements being delivered to jay z's apartment and tents being set up friday afternoon. Last night on tv, it was reported that limousines are circling around Jay z's apartment building. Also, high profile guests have been arriving to the city. It was in the paper last tuesday that the couple applied for a marriage license in scarsdale new york. A lot thought it was just april fools.

No official confirmation yet, has beyonce finally married her longtime boyfriend jay z? so, if indeed they got married, the intimate wedding was last friday at 135 hudson st.

She now holds the title as the second singer with the most no.1 hit singles on billboards hot 100. she dethroned elvis presley on the second spot. we went food shopping last night, actually for fish and some veggies only. meat, we usually buy them from supermarkets or costco. this korean store also sells some filipino stuffs so we go here instead of the regular filipino store. sometimes, we go out of our way to really go to pinoy store because nakaka-miss din and there some food that are not sold here like the daing and tuyo.
