After 13 years, gabby concepcion is back in manila. I could see the fans screeaaamiiinnggg and want to have a Kodak moment with gabo. I saw him on TFC at the Buzz show yesterday and everybody in the studio is kilig to the bones seeing their favorite idol back. To the young generation (born 80’s) maybe they will not remember gabby concepcion as the hearthrob of the Philippine cinema and the on-screen and off-screen partner of Sharon cuneta. But for the still young at hearts, who could forget Dear Heart, di ba? For the youngsters, they would probably know gabby as the biological father of kc concepcion and the ex husband of Sharon cuneta.
I remember in college, gabby concepcion went to the same school I did, maryknoll college (now Miriam college) and a lot of knollers (which includes yours truly) were kilig to the bones everytime they see that close up smile on the corridors. He has no star complex and he was just gabby, the student.
Sure this comeback will bring a lot of P to him not $ (real estate is down in the u.s. naman) and abs cbn his kapamilya station.

I got the new $5 bill from pathmark self checkout machine last Sunday. First time to see this new $5 bill which the Federal Reserve started circulating last march 13, 2008. The most noticeable difference is the color. It has light purple at the center that blends into the gray color at the edge of the bill. You will see small yellow ‘05’ printed on the left side at the front of the bill and on the right side at the back. A big ‘5’ in dark purple color is printed at the lower left also at the back of the bill. It has more security features so that it would be difficult for counterfeiters to reproduce this new $5 bill. The old one is still good until it wears out.
Coming next for the new look: $100.

2. Tell us where you got the costume and for how much.
3. Share with us a brief story behind the picture.
4. Then pass it on to people you like.
I am passing this on to loving Mommies out there Constance Sunny Side Up, Darlene Sweet Paradise, Racel Moment Of My Life, Shimumsy, Nita's Ramblings, ☆Ana P. S.☆, Roselle,<-- Emzkie -->,<>a>Liza Moms..Check Nyo, and luchi
This is Isabella as Tinker Bell last Halloween. I bought this costume 2 months before Halloween from my co-worker who is selling avon. It think it was $14.99. It is a tinkerbell outfit which includes the dress, wand, wing and (cloth) shoes. I have to let her wear an inner longsleeve shirt and stockings because it was knida chilly that time. I put in her walking shoes too because we will be walking from house to house trick or treating. She got a lot of goodies, more than enough supply of candies for 2 months!!!
Oh yes, she is like gaby too. She would wear her costume at home especially the wings and do the butterfly around the house. She lllooovess this outfit.
I had fun doing this.
I am passing this on to luchi,
mommy cara, sarah, and abie.
I already have this on my cellphone but i got this email again and i feel that it is a good idea to share with everybody:
Dear All,
We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory. But nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends.
If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending on us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored ; but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this "ICE" (In Case of Emergency) Campaign.
The concept of "ICE" is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As cell phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name "ICE" ( In Case Of Emergency).
The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation, Emergency Service personnel and hospital Staff would be able to quickly contact the right person by simply dialing the number you have stored as "ICE."
For more than one contact name, simply enter ICE 1, ICE 2 and ICE 3 etc. A great idea that will make a difference!
Let's spread the concept of ICE by storing an ICE number in our mobile phones today!!!! It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest.
ICE will speak for you when you are not able to do so.
Update your phonebook, it doesn't hurt to do the ICE.
Feel free to forward or just spread the ICE.

good morning bloggers. it is still early but i'm already awake. my body is already used to waking up early kaya even if i don't have to go to work i still wake up early. i will be quick here because i have to prepare for today's itineraries:
1. me and hubby are going to the new york car show. it opens at 10 am. he wants to be early because it gets crowded especially on weekends.
2. my daughter is going egg hunting.
ok, gotta go. still have to go online and buy and print the tickets for the show.
i will be back with the pictures.
have a good easter.
i'm enjoying this silence right now. my daughter is taking a nap, i know it's quite late but she is very sleepy and papa went to play tennis until 10pm. we already had a light dinner of ceasar salad, clam chowder and tuna fish sandwich. no meat today.
my daughter is tired because i picked up her up around 1pm today and took her to my job. i do not bring her always to my job because when she gets comfy there she will be messing around, para bang feel at home na sya. so i bring here once in a while and i know i won't be busy today. my ex-officemate came and brought her dog and a girl almost same age as ishi so they ended up running around with the dog in tow. they had fun but she was exhausted. after dinner she was sleepy but i know she will still wake up when papa comes home later.
so now i will make the most out of this mommy alone quiet time now. i'm done with my blog visits and hopefully i would be able to do some overdue tags. sorry for the delay but i will be done. i'm so thankful to bloggers who give me tags.
i hope everyone will have a blessed and egglicious easter weekend.
at last, spring has arrived. woohoooo!!! no more freezing mornings and snow ( i hope). i can put away my scarf, gloves, winter boots, thick jackets and turtlenecks. no more heater inside the house. i can start wearing light colored clothes and then the colorful ones as summer approaches. in a few days we will see the plants starting to grow back their leaves and the flowers starting to bloom again. you can drive with windows open and feel the breeze. i do not mind the rain during spring. as they always say, april showers bring may flowers.
Congratulations to 8 women from Charleston west Virginia for winning last Saturday’s powerball. Their total prize winning is $276.3 million. They opted to take the cash payout and each will receive around $12 million after taxes.
They all work at the sheriff’s department tax office but not all 11 employees participated. All the winners say they are keeping their present job.. Powerball is played in 29 states, Washington, d.c. and u.s. virgin islands.
Here is the winning numbers: 6-22-42-43-47-PB 16.
It’s almost 5pm. I am so tired and I am glad the day is over. I came to work early this morning and this day was just so dragging. I live 13 miles away and if it’s not traffic it would only take me 20 minutes to get home but if the roads are jammed from 30 to 45 minutes. It helps sometimes if you know the side streets, it’s a little bit slower but moving.
So I hope everyone had a nice Tuesday…can’t wait… spring is 2 days away!.
Have a nice evening to all and for the other side of the world good morning.

we ran to the mall around 8:15 p.m. this evening because we forgot something. the mall closes at 9pm so we still have time anyway we are only 4 miles away. papa suggested that he could go by himself but i said it's better that we tag along so that he will not bother looking for parking while i could wait outside in the car. so we are all set and not even a mile from the house, in one dark street papa saw a police car..you know hiding trying to catch the speeders. we even said.."may pulis". not even 500 meters away we made a left turn and that police car was right behind us and i just heard papa said.."oh boy...the blue lights are on...it's us!!" whatttt!!!! so we stopped, waited for him because they normally do no get out of their cars right away, probably running the plate no. in the computer or waiting for back up. then, here he comes with flashlight.
cop: "license, registration and insurance"
i got everything ready. gave it to him.
cop: "do you know why i pulled you over?"
papa: "yes....ahhh...no,no, no sir"
cop: " you are speeding!!!...do you know the speed limit there?"
papa: " i think 45 sir..." (ngiii mali na!)
cop: "no, it's 25 and you are running 39"
papa: "sorry sir, i will be careful next time."
cop: "i will run your drivers license if it's clean. give me few minutes."
came back...
cop: "you have a clean license. just be careful next time"
papa: "thank you so much sir!"
Yes, thank you lord...no ticket!
we went to the mall. papa's legs are shaking. on our way back, the cop is still on the same spot but i was the one driving this time at 25 mph of course.
Is there such a word as divalicious? I don’t think so.
Is it diva + delicious?
diva as per Webster means a distinguished or known nonoperatic female
singer or prima donna
while,
delicious as we all know means yummy or nice to the taste.
so, it’s just a combination of these two.
I guess, the meaning will be up to you now.
a lingo….
these are for issa from the philippines. this is quite late but thank you cousins for being so thoughtful and sweet. these are really cute on issa's now that i kept her hair long.
When you cross the river (that is our boundary to new york city) their gas is always .50 to .75 cents higher that is why a lot of new Yorkers prefer to get gas in jersey or they have their tanks filled before going back to the city. But isn’t it that Ez pass just went up from $6.00 to $8.00? I won’t be surprised if by summer time the gas will be $4 or $5 per gallon.

Do you ever get phone calls but nobody is at the end of the line? I often get it. Its always from my friend who lives in the west coast. . It happened again last night. WC time was only 11pm but here it was already 2 am. I did not pick up the phone because it would be very hard for me to get back to sleep. It went to my voicemail. Retrieved it this morning…nobody was at the other end, all I could here is people talking in the background. It was 2 minutes long. Thank God it’s only 2 minutes this time!
There was no intention of calling me (sorry, A!) but accidentally he dialed my number or he was not even aware of it. This friend of mine works night shift in a 24 hour restaurant so I could hear him laughing and giggling with some people. It is a disadvantage sometimes if your name starts with the letter A. You are the first one on the phonebook. Thanks, but no thanks.
Is A guilty of this too? Yes, I am. Not only that. Issa would sometimes use my phone without my knowledge and start calling anybody on my phonebook. At least she talks to them and they will ask issa who is her mom and she tells them my name. One time, she sent a picture from my phone to one of my friends at work. When I saw my friend, he was like..”Isabella sent me a picture,” I said, “how you know it’s Isabella?” He showed me the picture and said, “I know, you will not send this picture to me!!!” Oh Lord….
Good morning bloggers!
I am 20 minutes late at my job this morning. It was not easy to get up since we changed our time yesterday. It was also difficult to sleep an hour early last night. My co-worker is worst because she was late for 2 hours!!! Ahihihi…We will get the consolation later when we get off from work and the sun is still shining.
Happy Monday everyone!

Here in the u.s., daylight saving time (DST) will begin at 2:00 a.m. second Sunday of march and that is march 8, 2008. Our clocks are turned forward an hour and will fall back to standard time in November during fall season. So that it will not be confusing, just remember these phrases…”spring forward, fall backward…”spring up, fall back”…
It is not only that we turn our clocks forward but also as a safety reminder, everybody is encouraged to change the batteries in the smoke alarms when we change our time. Nothing is safer than a working smoke alarm. Better be safe than sorry.
So, guys before you go night night on Saturday which is tomorrow, do not forget to turn your clocks one hour ahead before you go to bed. Never mind if you lose and hour of sleep you will regain it in November anyway.
Do not be late on Monday too!
I fried some galunggong last night and how it stinked the whole house. In English, it is called mackarel scab but in the Philippines it is known as galunggong or tinapa, GG for short. Back home, we used to buy the cooked smoked galunggong. I bought this one from the oriental store. There were 5 pieces in a pack, fresh, all cleaned, no heads. I cut the tails out, marinade them in soy sauce and lemon juice for ½ hour. Papa wants them crispy fried and he likes the belly part while I like the back part because there is more meat. It was so delicious and the flesh is so tasty. I eat this with soy sauce, lemon or kalamansi juice and a little chili paste. I forgot to buy some green mangoes. It would be perfect with the galunggong and my daughter loves it too. She keeps on saying, “more fish, more fish mommy.”
I lighted 5 candles to keep the smell away, spray freshener, and turned on the exhaust full blast. If could only hear what my neighbors are saying…sorry neighbors!
Have a nice weekend to all!
Does your kids have their favorites too?
I cannot complain about the weather this past 3 days, actually, for the whole week. It is going to be nice…at least in the 50’s. I don’t mind the rain as long as it’s not snow. Do I smell spring? Yes, yes, yes…2 more weeks. I could take that!!!
Happy Wednesday to all!
i just came from my daughter’s future school. Today is the first day of registration and she will start pre-k this coming September. She did not get into the cut-off for the age, if she would have been five yrs old before October 1st she could qualify for kindergarten.
Everything went well except that she need a flu shot now this being a state requirement starting September 2008. I was already asked by her doctor when she had her annual doctor’s visit last month but I declined because she hardly get sick anyway. Thank god she is a healthy baby.
So I’m sure my daughter will be excited about going to school so is mom but we have to figure out how our schedule is going to be with regards to dismissal time.
how was your weekend?
our weekend was busy. it went fast. i was home before 5pm friday and papa and ishi were already home munching some chicken nuggets and french fries. we took a short nap except for ishi who stayed in the computer playing. papa went out to play tennis around 7pm. after tennis, went to applebees around 11pm. slept quite late than usual.
saturday, we had burgers for lunch at five brothers then we went to target. we did not stay long because papa has a tennis tournament at 6pm. it was bonding time for me and ishi. papa came home so hungry and was happy happy to see adobo on the dinner table.
today, woke up a little late, had bagel with cream cheese for breakfast. we did loads of laundry finishing around 1pm. we got lazy to cook lunch so went to a newly opened filipino restaurant in bergenfield. i had bistiksilog, papa had palabok and issa pork barbecue. after our late lunch, we went to a korean store to buy fish, shrimps, and veggies. it was almost 5pm when we got home.
so that's it....weekend is over.

No more talking or texting on your cellphone while driving in new jersey. It is a Law now, effective today, March 1, 2008. Police officers can give you $100 ticket if you are caught using hand-held cellphones behind the wheel. The ban of using cellphones while driving has been a law since 2004 but only as a second offense where drivers can get a tickets if they were pulled over for another reason but now the updated law made it as a primary offense. They no longer need another reason to stop you.
So please, be careful guys and always remember this when you are in Jersey. Not only talking but including TEXTING. NJ is the first state to include texting while driving as a primary offense.
HAVE A HAPPY AND SAFE WEEKEND EVERYONE!
