My daughter's first day in School

Yesterday was Isabella's first day as Pre-K. She go now to our town elementary school who offers pre-k. Not all towns here offer pre-k, luckily my town does. She was all excited the day before while we prepare the list of things she needs to bring and also in the morning. We got there 5 minutes before the school starts. So excited she was first in line. Said goodbye, then I left. I went to do my errands, she gets off at 10:45 am. I was there on time, so excited to see her face while their teacher dismisses them one by one. When Isabella's name was called, right away the teacher told me she went outside the building 2x, was crying and scratching some classmates. I was so embarrased and you know what my daughter said. "I thought you got lost mommy, I'm so happy I found you." My poor daughter, probably her heart was so heavy the whole time she was in school..like where's my mom? I don't know anybody here!!! It was her first time to be out by herself with nobody that she knows.

Today is the second day. I insisted that she go. Her teacher was kind enough to let me bring her to her class but got a problem. She does not want me to let go. So I stayed a little bit, did some writing with her, helped her in the bathroom...you know...all those delaying tactics so that mommy can stay longer. After I spoke to her (several time already since yesterday) that mommy is not lost and will be back, she kinda relax herself and said ba-bye. I was keeping my fingers crossed. After 45 minutes that I got home, her teacher called me that she still does not stop crying and asked me to speak to her over the phone. She haven't called back yet. I hope it worked. It's a big separation problem. I hope she gets over it soon and enjoy school.
