In the world where computer and internet are a must in every business and our day to day activities, IT profession has become in demand and one of the highest paid. Today is never too late to start a career in information technology. You can be working in a company, your own business or be working at the comfort of your home.
After my 2 year bank experience, a small based company hired me as a tech support but with a better pay than my previous job. I already have a computer background and I was able to use it at my new job. I saw the potential of becoming more successful in my career so I enrolled myself in a certification course in the county where I live. I have an after work schedule, three times a week from 5 to 9 pm. It’s tough because I have a full time job but I know there are rewards to my sacrifices.
Now that I have started this, I am dedicated to pursue this path until I get my Cisco certification. I am eyeing to get the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician(CCENT) and once I get certified, it would be a validation of my knowledge and skills for entry level network and at the same time a ticket to a wider career opportunities.
Dept of Labor always report that this is a fast growing occupation and no matter how tough or turbulent the economy will be, IT professionals would still continue to receive high pay check. Always check at The Cisco Learning Network for ways of advancing your career, training, updates and news. This website is so informative and you can interact with fellow IT professionals and exchange ideas with them.
