Her name is Jingle Luis, 15 years old, from Philippines. She is here because of Dr. Randal Owen, a head and neck surgeon who saw her when he travelled to the philippines in 2003 on a mission trip. She will undergo surgery to fix her feet. The doctors of Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx New York offered their services for free for the surgery and follow-up treatment that will slowly rotate her feet so that eventually she could walk normally.
Jingle was born with club feet, her feet twisted backward and upside down. She hails from Apayao, her father is a corn farmer and her mother sells farm raised fish by carrying all her wares on her head and go from one house to another. She is with her mother here, they arrived april 17 and the surgery took place last Thursday . The doctors said that everything went well.
Jingle probably never thought that she could walk normally one day . God bless these doctors who have big hearts and willing to help unconditionally.
