This is a horrible story I just read on the paper. The Huntington Bank branch in Indianapolis got held up and a 5 month pregnant teller got shot in the abdomen during the robbery. She was pregnant with twins, one was born dead and the other died after birth. The mom survived, still in critical but stable condition.
I was a teller in one of the bank here before and every day that I go to work I always pray that nothing like this will happen. Tellers are frontliners and we deal with big amounts of money everyday to our customers and strangers. And you know sometimes, people gets crazy and will just do anything for money and they don’t care if they hurt anybody or not. Just like what happened to this lady. We get training how to handle situations like robbery but there is not enough training you can do to avoid this. For me it is a risky job.
I am thankful that I’m on another field right now. Hope they catch all the robbers on this case.

I totally agree with you. These people who do not care about other people's lives should be stopped and caught. Yes, its a risky job to be in a bank, that's why we need to pray everyday for God's unmerited favor to protect us.

huh! horrible...I get off from work really late but i'm not a teller, as you know hold up cases in the Phils. happen mostly at night but haven't experience such a thing. Hay naku kung bakit ayaw magsipag trabaho ng mga gagong yan eh...^^
wow. the story of the pregnant lady is really very sad. indeed, there is too much evil in this world. and there is no stopping them especially now that times are getting harder.
but there is always someone who's watching over all of us. and HE knows. prayer will always be our greatest weapon.
