No more talking or texting on your cellphone while driving in new jersey. It is a Law now, effective today, March 1, 2008. Police officers can give you $100 ticket if you are caught using hand-held cellphones behind the wheel. The ban of using cellphones while driving has been a law since 2004 but only as a second offense where drivers can get a tickets if they were pulled over for another reason but now the updated law made it as a primary offense. They no longer need another reason to stop you.
So please, be careful guys and always remember this when you are in Jersey. Not only talking but including TEXTING. NJ is the first state to include texting while driving as a primary offense.
