super super bargain

me and issa went to mall today while papa went to play tennis. first stop is j crew our favorite store. it was additional 20% discount off the sale price!!! i bought a hoodie, plain longsleeve shirt and a short sleeve shirt for papa for $44!!! next is bath and body works, i know that they have a sale and today is the last day. body lotion is only $3 or less, some are 5 for $20. who can beat that kasi i know they retail at $8.50! masarap mag stock nito para pasalubong sa philippines. uwi na dapt kami but my little girl wants some jelly beans and the candy store is by victoria secret. thanks issa...the cotton panties are 10 for $25!!!! panic na naman si mom. buti nalang si issa may jelly beans na so i was able to concentrate with my shopping. it was sulit and that's the reason why i never pay regular price here. i'm so happy with my purchases.

my blackberry

i have a new blackberry but not an upgrade model but i like it. i previously own the blackberry pearl but when E lost her cellphone we have to get her another one but since she is not yet qualified for an upgrade we used papa's upgrade since he got the iphone. Me upgrade nga pero di namam nya type so i voluntarily offered my pearl and her being a teenager ayaw ng kung ano-anong cellphone lang dyan. hayyy buhay.... so what did mommy get? i got this blackberry curve ...yeah, the refurbished one....for $29.99....sabi ko let's see how it looks like. ordered it online and i got the phone in 2 days. it looks brand new and not a trace that it is a refurbished phone. good deal na 'to...but wait...when i got the phone walang back cover kasi nilagay na nila yung sim siguro nakalimutan ibalik. called them and the lady was very nice at pinadalhan ako ng bago instead. i called them dec 21st at around 3pm and dec 22nd 11am i got my blackberry. a merry christmas for me.
i like the blackberry curve better than the pearly because of its keypad and easier to text and type. lab ko sya and i don't mind that it's quite wider than the pearl.

4 day xmas weekend

it's good to have a long weekend. at first yung boss ko said that we have work today but then he changed his mind and he gave monday off. buti naman.

right now, we are just waiting for the time that we go to my friend's house for christmas dinner. my ham is already cooked inside the oven and tapos na rin yung mashed potatoes. the wine is being chilled and the gifts are ready to be packed. everybody is taking their naps but me di ako sanay mag take nap talaga.

bilis ng araw. my 4 days off is almost over. today is not too cold lalo na yesterday 50's ang temperature but it was raining and windy. it melted all that snow kaya di white christmas ngayon. me and issa went (papa is working) to the mall today and there are still a lot of last minute shoppers. we were to watch a movie but then i remembered i have to cook pala. issa has not been to a moviehouse yet, i'm wondering if how how she would behave in a movie. kanina nga lang we were inside a fitting room and she saw some broken arms of mannequins lying on the floor, she cried "i'm scared mommy". i guess we just have to wait until papa can come with us.

i did not eat lunch today preparing myself for christmas dinner (LOL...) in an hour or so. i'm getting hungry now so it's time to wake them up and get ready. enjoy your christmas dinner everyone!

my old laptop

i have an very old laptop, i bought it probably year 2000 for like a thousand bucks (gee, ang mahal!!!!ngayon it's not even worth $100 and you can buy brand new ones for at least $350). it has 5 gigs, 188 ram and 431 mhz., no dvd drive but then this laptop is one of the best noon. 3 years after i bought a sony vaio desktop, the top of the line on a black friday and i could say until now my computer could still compete with the new ones. my laptop rested but it was still working fine and i never had problems but it's already very very slow and you can't even download anything kasi puno kaagad. i even bought an external hard drive with 120 gigs but i'm not using that one too because it's one of those bulky hard drives.

when issa started to learn computers she spend more time on the desktop than mommy/papa does. tapos minsan galit pa or nagmamakaawa ka pa to borrow from her. so, i thought of my old laptop, hinanap sa storage, punas-punasan sa alikabot (yearsss kaya!) turned it on and it is still working. i bought windows xp and notebook adapter from ebay(para mas mura), install it and viola the laptop is revived from darkness and cold at wireless pa. actually, i'm just being cheap but hey i saved $$$. puede pa naman sya kung surf lang. anti-virus nalang ang kulang but it's working. next na ako bibili, siguro sa black friday ulit!

my baby turned 4 yesterday. happy birthday chikki!

i am the only one who calls her chikki. she is fondly called as issa, isabella and sometimes ishi.

winter storm & a day off

i did not go to work yesterday because my baby is not feeling well and also we had a snow storm. ilang araw ng yung ubo nya kaya sabi ko better to stay home kesa hatid ko sya sa babysitter and they will send us home early naman because of the snow. kawawa naman ang baby ko, she be like "mommy, i'm sick!" everytime umuubo sya. and the bad mommy of me we still went to the mall yesterday morning before the snow starts but i really bundled her up warm. and that snow...huh! it was hail!!!. it started around noon, it's ice rain..sleet. you don't see any white snow but all ice and the road is like 3 inches of slushy ice. more dangerous to drive and when it freezes mas madulas and mahirap i-shovel.
yesterday after the storm, i went to the supermarket to buy some campbell's dora alphabet chicken noodle soup at yan lang ang gusto kainin ng anak ko if she is sick. so i drove the truck kasi 4x4 para no worries sa snow, susme, pagdating ko sa kanto while i was driving the whole slab of ice from the roof fell and covered my whole windshield!!!!wtf!!!!wahhhhh!!!!
this morning, i had my car running for 45 minutes before we left and had the heater full blast para matunaw muna yung ice sa windshield and back and to be able to open the doors. yung driver's door lang ang nabubuksan ko. tomorrow we are going to have another storm. it's a northeaster starting saturnday night and snow and rain sunday morning. haayyyy....it's not even winter yet.

apple picking

we went apple picking last week of august at wightmans farms in morristown new jersey. issa enjoyed it and she liked to carry the basket the whole time. it gets heavy so mommy has to make bawas para di masyado mabigat sa kanya. they have pumpkins too but we did not go picking and everybody loved the donuts they have in the store. i think it is better to go apple/pumpkin picking august cuz before we go like september and it gets colder. pag august di pa malamig so you could enjoy the outdoor more.

our favorite...the u.s. open. of course, me and papa were there again. mas hi tech this year cuz some credit card companies gave away radios where you can tune in to a sports station broadcasting u.s. open. so even if you are on one court watching a game you would still be able to know what is happening on other matches. another co. had given out ( but you have to return it before leaving the open otherwise they charge your card!!! catch!) a small tv and you can watch other ongoing games on different courts. cool, bast isauli mo lang. a lot of people probably forgot about returning it so $$$$.

bought a cap that matches my tennis bag and papa bought a tennis shorts and the u.s. open towel.

we also had our cookout and my daughter was playing in the sand the whole time.

it was also my birthday month. we at cheesecake. tumanda na naman ako!.

month to month

july is a tennis month. papa started to teach me how to play. he bought me my racket and i picked the one that is light and pambabae cuz i tried using his racket parang mabigat yata.
papa is really a tennis instructor in one of the towns racquet club here is jersey so talagang instructor ang dating sa akin. he makes me run 5 times around the tennis court before every game at noong una hinihingal naman ako kasi di naman ako pang sports. hirap sa umpisa kasi sandali lang hinihingal na ako but eventually i got used to it. sometimes when it is like 90 degree heat i experienced one time that i almost pass out and i have to ask for a break in the middle of the game. as i was saying he is really as instructor because when we play it's not that he is playing against me but we have this ball basket and he feeds me all the balls kaya tuloy tuloy ang game unlike when you play one on one maraming rest. i could only get a rest when we finish all the balls in the basket and you will see the court with hundreds of tennis balls all over.
i learned and i know how to play now. i even don't want to use the racket he bought me coz ayoko kasi magaan na para sa akin, naks!! i want one with power so i'm using one of his old babolat.

june

went to atlantic city with papa's brod who is here for a visit and my friend and kids. had lunch there, walked at the boardwalk and went to the newly built outlet stores. now that these stores are open parang lumapit na ang boardwalk sa downtown. we don't play at the casinos kaya pasyal lang and eat.
